Neymar, the Brazilian footballer who plays for Paris Saint-Germain (PSG), has defended Al Hilal's attack on him during his recent visit to Saudi Arabia.
In a statement released by PSG, Neymar said that he was "shocked" and "disappointed" by the attack, which involved a group of people throwing stones at his car as it drove through the city of Jeddah.
The incident is said to have occurred after Neymar had attended a private event with some of the club's players and staff.
In response to the attack, Neymar wrote on social media: "I am deeply saddened by this act of violence and injustice against me and my family. I condemn it in the strongest terms and will take all necessary measures to ensure justice is served."
He also thanked the people of Saudi Arabia for their support and said: "I wish them well and hope they can find peace and understanding."
The incident comes just days after Neymar suffered a serious injury while playing for Brazil in the World Cup semi-final against Croatia. The Brazilian striker returned to training earlier this month but has not yet fully recovered from his injuries.
Despite the setback, Neymar remains one of the most popular and talented footballers in the world and continues to make a significant impact on the sport both on and off the pitch.
